Open event, BarCamp, to be held in Brussels to support female entrepreneurship

BarCamp will enable organisations that support female entrepreneurship to discuss their experiences, ideas and future options to support women entrepreneurs.

Representatives and associations from business, science and society will attend alongside staff from the EU Commission and other European institutions.

The event is ‘open format’ meaning there will be no predefined topics. Instead, participants can suggest topics to explore in parallel discussions.

However, the aim is to focus on 2 key questions:

• How to ensure a higher participation of women (entrepreneurs) in EU funding instruments?
• How to shape European research and innovation funding instruments to better integrate female entrepreneurs?
