On 7 July 2020 the WEgate project held its first WEbinar on Supporting Women Entrepreneurs in Times of COVID-19.
The conference, which featured expert speakers on Women Entrepreneurship from a variety of international organisations and gathered over 60 would-be and established businesswomen from all across Europe, presented measures introduced by the different women entrepreneurship (WE) stakeholders to help businesses during the COVID-19 crisis. It helped expand the conversation and learning on how the WE ecosystem can better approach the new circumstances that challenge our economic and professional lives.
The participants were strongly engaged in the conversation, thus demonstrating that women entrepreneurs are being particularly affected by the economic consequences of the pandemic and are in need of effective support now more than ever.
